Making muggle life decisions?…

How’s that for a thought-provoking title?Β

But in all seriousness here… Is your Job enjoyable?Β  It is necessary to your life?

While I was browsing through my social media accounts and catching up on some blog reading, I came across a couple posts (from fellow writers) basically bashing their jobs and talking about how creatively draining it was to go to work each day.

WOW…

I understand this, to a point.Β  Some day’s it is physically (and emotionally) hard to pull myself away from a good book, a research project or my current WIP, to dress accordingly and drag my butt out into the muggle world.Β  I’m an introvert… We don’t like people! lolΒ  But it’s not always a chore to go to work, and the few jobs I had that did feel like that, I left after a short while.

But to hate your job that much?… Why keep it?Β  Β I mean, what is the best (or better) option for someone who feeds off of freedom and yet, still needs a decent amount of funds to live off of?

Some people give up everything and focus their lives solely on their art and creative side. But most in that situation end up relying on someone else or someone”‘s” to help support them.Β

Others, give up on their creativity and push it off until “the right time” comes around. Which doesn’t always happen.

And a few (myself included) try their best to balance both the creative side of their lives and the deemed “required to live” side Aka The muggle job.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  And just like that, I forgot where I was going with this….. LOL Just kidding

The question all this reading made me keep asking myself is “What do you deem worth it?” When do you stop and say NO, this job or life isn’t what I want and isn’t helping get to where I want to be?

And if you decide it’s not right for you, what do you do? What is your next step?

I’ve spent so much time struggling with what I want out of life and how to make things work for the best or at least, for the better for me and those close to me. For the most part, I tend to look at those closest to me and try to make a choice that keeps them in mind and benefits the both of us.

Or, taking the advice of a good friend – If I’m unsure of what to do or what needs to change, I change nothing until I’m sure of it.Β

But how do you decide what is the best way? How do you decide what is worth it and what is not? When do you make the call to finally move on?

How do you make it all work?

Did the inspiration die??

πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ’» Where have the social writers gone?

Did you do  NaNoWriMo this year??

(If so, drop a comment and let me know your thoughts on it)

This year I participated for the first time and I must say I was greatly inspired and enjoyed the chaotic mess. 😊 (I’m more than a little weird… I know)

The deadlines were hard to reach some days but I muddled through and figured it out. And by the end, in those blessed final hours… my computer even killed over and wouldn’t even allow me to verify my final entry. 😞 *deep sigh* Words cannot explain my frustration at that time.

But I did it and I’m glad I did. Nothing beats a little challenge every now and then. And the people I met along the way were simply amazing and inspiring πŸ’œ

But, now it’s all over. And I feel like a lot of people have ended along with it.

When I started NaNoWriMo I found , met (and followed) many, many writers on my social media sites so I could meet new people and help support them on their journey. And now it seems like everyone has fallen off wagon and vanished…
Am I looking in all the wrong places or did the new year leave a few people behind?

I know writing everyday can be a challenge, believe me, I know. I battle with it Every.Single. Day.

Not everyday I’m motivated to sit down and spill my thoughts out. And some days I’m completely terrified to get close to completion because that means taking the next step of actually showing someone my work and being critiqued on it πŸ™ˆ

But even with all that, I don’t stop. My head is always buzzing and moving along even if my hands won’t.

My mentality is, why work so hard at something if your just going to give up?

And a prolonged break is giving up.

So lets not give up! Lets make new contacts and add more people to our friend zone πŸ€— and keep on keeping on ❣️

-end of random ramble lol

Proud moment πŸ’œ

So, some of my followers may or may not know that my debuts novella Blakefields Mansion came out in ebook in February πŸ™ŒπŸΌ (Major proud moment)

Well, I wasn’t up on the promo train as fast as I should have been, so getting the word out and getting my beta readers to commit to reading and reviewing my work has been a bit of a struggle. But slowly and surely it’s coming along.

The other evening, as I browsed Amazon for my next book purchases. I clicked over to My Book and found someone had indeed left me a sweet review πŸ’œ

I have no idea who it is, as I know my beta readers have yet to review it for me.  But I’m so thankful to this person for the sweet review! It really has made my week!

I’ve never felt more nervous and excited to continue my writing and share it with the world.

My writing will never stop due to lack of support or negative feedback, But it’s always nice to feel like you made someone happy in some way or another.

I hope more people are enchanted by story’s and ideas. And I hope my books will carry you away from reality, even if it’s just for a short time.

#ReadOn πŸ’œ

Blakefields Mansion is available on Amazon everywhere and at Any subject books. Currently only available in kindle, ePub and mobi editions. But be on the look out, the paper back will be available  shortly! 😍

Writing distractions!

Seriously, I am finding it so difficult to focus on my writing and the tasks at hand lately.  It’s time I sit back and regroup a little bit.

Haha πŸ’™

It also doesn’t help that my laptop is being on the fritz , literally every time I get into working on my website or papers it freezes or acts up/ shuts down πŸ˜” ugh!

Think a new  computer is in my future… hopefully πŸ™πŸΌ

In the mean time, good old fashioned pen and paper for me. I actually do most my first drafts on paper, then the first edit comes into play as I type it up on the computer. So whenever my computer bug takes a nap I’ll have many, many first edits to be done! πŸ’»πŸ€—

Planning to make the most out of today and bring a few projects to completion.

~Crushing daily goals~
